The New Bern Bears baseball team scored 26 runs and limited the host Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs to 3 in the Bears non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bears (4-2) will now prepare for their match against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, West Craven gained a win over Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC), 6-1, in a non-league match.
The Monarchs (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Havelock (Havelock, NC). The Rams go into the non-league match with a 3-2 record.
