Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Marion Scarlet Hurricanes (Marion, VA), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lee for a Mountain 7 challenge on Monday, March 20.

With the loss, Marion falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Scarlet hurricanes travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to face the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 3. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
