North Carolina High School Softball - Polk County knocked off by Chase

March 16, 2023: Columbus, NC 28722

In Thursday's league contest, the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), by a margin of 13-3.

With the triumph, Chase moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Trojans host East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to play the Cavaliers in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A contest on Tuesday, March 21. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a record of 6-1. East Rutherford won 3-2 in their recent league contest against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

In their next game, the Wolverines play the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A contest, on Tuesday, March 21. Polk County will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Bearcats come into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 17-4 non-league win over Asheville (Asheville, NC).
