The Panthers now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richlands for a non-league match on Friday, March 17. East Duplin will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Kinston falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to face the Stallions in a East Central 2A match on Tuesday, March 21. The Stallions enter the match with a record of 2-7. Southwest Onslow lost 10-1 in their recent league match against North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC)
