Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC), 21-1 in a league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Gaston for a Big South 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Kings Mountain will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 16-5 league win over Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Huss falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Huskies host South Point (Belmont, NC) to battle the Red Raiders in a Big South 3A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. South Point lost 14-3 in their recent league challenge against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC)
