Pacheco Panthers (Los Banos, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Johansen Vikings (Modesto, CA), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lathrop for a Western Athletic Conference challenge on Friday, March 17. Pacheco will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 5-2 league loss to Ceres (Ceres, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Johansen falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Ceres (Ceres, CA) to battle the Bulldogs in a Western Athletic Conference challenge on Monday, March 20. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Ceres lost 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lodi (Lodi, CA)
