The Santa Rosa Lions routed the visiting McCurdy Bobcats softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Estancia (Estancia, NM). The Bears go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Estancia topped Dora (Dora, NM), 28-13, in a non-league battle.

The Bobcats now sport a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Moriarty for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 23. McCurdy will meet a Pintos squad coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Estancia (Estancia, NM). The Pintos record now stands at 6-1.
