In Thursday's league test, the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Robinson Bulldogs (Concord, NC), by a score of 8-0.

Coming up next, the Cardinals clash with the Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A test, on Monday, March 20. Union Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-0 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 5-4 league win over North Stanly (New London, NC).

The Bulldogs (0-6) will now prepare for their test against South Rowan (China Grove, NC). The Raiders come into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, South Rowan was routed by West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC), 3-1, in a league test.
