In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Cordova Lancers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Placer Hillmen.

The Lancers (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Union Mine (El Dorado, CA). The Diamondbacks come into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Union Mine achieved victory over Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning (Nevada City, CA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Hillmen clash with the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) in a Foothill Valley battle, on Tuesday, March 19. Placer will attempt to advance on its 1-9 season record. The Bruins come into the battle with a 4-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Natomas (Sacramento, CA).
