In Saturday's non-league contest, the North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA), by a margin of 20-4.

With the triumph, North DeSoto moves its record to 19-3 on the year. The Griffins host Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA) to play the Chiefs in a non-league contest on Monday, March 18. The Chiefs come into the contest with a record of 10-10. Natchitoches Central lost 14-0 in their recent non-league contest against Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA)

In their next game, the Buccaneers play the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) in a 5A District 3 contest, on Tuesday, March 19. Barbe will attempt to move on its 10-12 season record. The Sharks come into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 14-0 league win over Carencro (Lafayette, LA).
