Texas High School Softball - Muleshoe nudges Brownfield

Muleshoe Mules (Muleshoe, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Mules now sport a 18-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lubbock Christian for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Muleshoe will face a Eagles squad coming off a 23-3 league win over Weatherford Christian (Weatherford, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Brownfield falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Cubs host Lamesa (Lamesa, TX) to face the Tornadoes in a 3A Region I District 3 challenge on Saturday, March 23. The Tornadoes enter the challenge with a record of 7-2.
