Sardis Lions (Boaz, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Corner Yellow Jackets (Warrior, AL), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Arab for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Sardis will battle a Knights squad coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN). The Knights record now stands at 7-12.

With the loss, Corner falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Cordova (Cordova, AL) to battle the Blue Devils in a 4A Area 9 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 4-11. Cordova lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lawrence County (Moulton, AL)
