In Saturday's non-league contest, the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) softball team held off the visiting Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), by a margin of 10-9.
With the triumph, Jefferson Forest moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Cavaliers host Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 26. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 0-1.
In their next game, the Comets play the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 18. Halifax County will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 21-4 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
