Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Loreauville Tigers (Loreauville, LA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host Brusly for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. Southside will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Loreauville falls to 17-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Dutchtown (Geismar, LA) to face the Griffins in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. The Griffins enter the challenge with a record of 14-3. Dutchtown won 4-1 in their recent league challenge against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA)
