Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting McCall-Donnelly Vandals (McCall, ID), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Idaho City for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18.

With the loss, McCall-Donnelly falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Vandals travel to Payette (Payette, ID) to battle the Pirates in a 3A Snake River Valley game on Wednesday, March 20. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 0-4. Payette lost 13-3 in their recent non-league game against Nyssa (Nyssa, OR)
