Sage Creek Bobcats (Carlsbad, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to University City for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Sage Creek will battle a Centurions squad coming off a 12-3 non-league loss to Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Oceanside falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Bend (Bend, OR) to battle the Lava Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Lava Bears enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Bend lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Canby (Canby, OR)
