In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Wheatmore Warriors baseball squad scored a close 8-3 triumph over the West Davidson Dragons.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the Randleman Tigers (Randleman, NC) in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A contest, on Friday, March 18. Wheatmore will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 7-0 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Asheboro (Asheboro, NC).
The Dragons now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Salisbury for a Central Carolina 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, March 22. West Davidson will play a Hornets squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Thomasville (Thomasville, NC). The Hornets record now stands at 6-2.
