Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ), 5-4 in a league test.

With the win, Verrado upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Vipers travel to Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 22. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 1-1. Willow Canyon won 16-6 in their recent league test against Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ)

With the defeat, Agua Fria falls to 1-3 on the season. The Owls host Kellis (Glendale, AZ) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Friday, March 18. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-2. Kellis lost 19-0 in their recent non-league test against Higley (Gilbert, AZ)
