Layton Lancers (Layton, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Davis Darts (Kaysville, UT), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Lancers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Weber for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12.

With the loss, Davis falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Darts travel to Fremont (Plain City, UT) to face the Silverwolves in a challenge on Tuesday, March 22. The Silverwolves enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
