A&M Consolidated Tigers (College Station, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnolia West for a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Saturday, March 19. A&M Consolidated will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Waller (Waller, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Rudder falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Rangers host Brenham (Brenham, TX) to face the Cubs in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Saturday, March 19. The Cubs enter the challenge with a record of 10-6. Brenham lost 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Paetow (Katy, TX)
