Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hancock County for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. Butler County will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Ohio County (Hartford, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, McLean County falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY) to battle the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 21. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Warren Central lost 13-0 in their recent non-league match against Ohio County (Hartford, KY)
