Capistrano Valley Cougars (Mission Viejo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host San Clemente Tritons (San Clemente, CA), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to El Toro for a Sea View challenge on Tuesday, March 22. Capistrano Valley will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Trabuco Hills (Mission Viejo, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, San Clemente falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Tritons host Trabuco Hills (Mission Viejo, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a Sea View challenge on Thursday, March 24. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 10-9.
