Gaffney Indians (Gaffney, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nation Ford Falcons (Fort Mill, SC), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oceanside Collegiate Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 19. Gaffney will battle a Landsharks squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Bluffton (Bluffton, SC). The Landsharks record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Nation Ford falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Summerville (Summerville, SC) to battle the Green Wave in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 19. The Green Wave enter the challenge with a record of 6-0. Summerville won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
