La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Coyotes now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host Economedes for a 6A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, March 22. La Joya will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 23-0 league loss to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-9.

With the loss, Juarez-Lincoln moves to 0-5 on the season. The Huskies travel to Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to face the Cougars in a 6A Region IV District 31 match on Tuesday, March 22. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 11-12. Edinburg North lost 5-1 in their recent league match against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX)
