In Thursday's non-league contest, the North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY) softball team held off the host Somerset Briar Jumpers (Somerset, KY), by a score of 5-4.
With the triumph, North Laurel improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Jaguars host Wolfe County (Campton, KY) to clash with the Wolves in a non-league game on Saturday, March 19.
