Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Prairiland Patriots (Pattonville, TX) and the host Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX), witnessed Prairiland's softball squad tip Rains by a count of 3-1.

The Patriots now sport a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Lone Oak for a 3A Region II District 12 match on Tuesday, March 22. Prairiland will face a Buffaloes squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to Rains (Emory, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Rains moves to 7-7 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Chisum (Paris, TX) to face the Mustangs in a 3A Region II District 12 match on Tuesday, March 22. The Mustangs go into the match with a record of 4-5. Chisum won 7-0 in their recent league match against Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX)
