The Rockbridge County Wildcats crushed the visiting Staunton Storm baseball team by a count of 8-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Wildcats now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Defiance for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 21. Rockbridge County will face a Indians team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Indians record now stands at 2-0.
