The Cyprus Pirates softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Granger Lancers to 0 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Cyprus moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Pirates travel to Kearns (Kearns, UT) to clash with the Cougars in a 6A Region 2 game on Monday, March 20. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 0-1. Kearns lost 13-0 in their recent league game against West (Salt Lake City, UT)
In their next game, the Lancers clash with the Mountain Ridge Sentinels (Herriman, UT) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 20. Granger will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Sentinels come into the game with a 4-1 record after their 8-6 non-league win over Duchesne (Duchesne, UT).
