Danbury Panthers (Danbury, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Hitchcock Bulldogs (Hitchcock, TX), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boling for a 3A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Danbury will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Hitchcock falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Hempstead (Hempstead, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a 3A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Hempstead lost 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Danbury (Danbury, TX)
