Texas High School Softball - Floydada bounces New Deal

The Floydada Whirlwinds routed the visiting New Deal Lions softball squad by a final score of 18-0 in Friday's league battle.
The Whirlwinds (15-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sundown (Sundown, TX). The Roughnecks go into the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Sundown topped Alpine (Alpine, TX), 4-3, in a non-league battle.
The Lions now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sudan for a 2A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, March 21.
