The Pender Patriots softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Hobbton Wildcats to 6 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Pender improves its record to 3-4 on the year. The Patriots host Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 22. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 7-2.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Heide Trask Titans (Rocky Point, NC) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 20. Hobbton will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Titans come into the game with a 4-2 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC).
