La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Palm Springs Indians (Palm Springs, CA), 13-2 in a league challenge.

The Blackhawks now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rancho Mirage for a Desert Empire challenge on Tuesday, March 21. La Quinta will battle a Rattlers squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA). The Rattlers record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Palm Springs falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Indians host Southlands Christian (Rowland Heights, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 18. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Southlands Christian lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Western Christian (Upland, CA)
