Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) and the host Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS), witnessed Nettleton's softball squad prevail over Tupelo by a count of 9-1.

The Tigers now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Smithville for a non-league match on Monday, March 20. Nettleton will meet a Seminoles squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Seminoles record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Tupelo moves to 1-3 on the season. The Golden wave travel to Southaven (Southaven, MS) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Saturday, March 18.
