The Benton Tigers baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Parkway Panthers to 0 in the Tigers league win on Monday.

The Tigers now hold a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Captain Shreve for a 5A District 1 test on Tuesday, March 18. Benton will play a Gators team coming off a 8-2 league loss to Airline (Bossier City, LA). The Gators record now stands at 14-7.

With the defeat, Parkway drops to 3-12 on the year. The Panthers host Haughton (Haughton, LA) to play the Buccaneers in a 5A District 1 test on Tuesday, March 18. The Buccaneers go into the test with a record of 17-3. Haughton won 12-3 in their recent non-league test against Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA)
