The Section Lions (Section, AL) baseball got by the visiting Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL), 9-8 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spring Garden for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 18. Section will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-6.
With the defeat, Sand Rock drops to 3-12 on the year. The Wildcats host Gaston (Gadsden, AL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 13 challenge on Tuesday, March 18. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Gaston lost 9-2 in their recent league outing against Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL)
