The Union Pines Vikings triumphed over the host Gray's Creek Bears lacrosse team by a tally of 18-11 in Monday's league match.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 20. Union Pines will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 5-5 record after their 8-3 non-league win over Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC).

The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Patriots enter the United 8/All American/Sandhills match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Pinecrest was overwhelmed by Broughton (Raleigh, NC), 8-6, in a non-league match.
