Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Dixie moves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to McCormick (McCormick, SC) to meet the Chiefs in a A Region 1 test on Wednesday, March 19. The Chiefs come into the test with a record of 0-1. McCormick lost 14-0 in their recent league test against GREEN Upstate (Simpsonville, SC)

The Vikings now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wren for a AAAA Region 1 test on Thursday, March 20. Emerald will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, SC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 8-1.
