The Ballard Memorial Bombers softball squad (Barlow, KY), was routed 5-1 in Monday's non-league contest with the host Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY)

With the triumph, Marshall County improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Marshals travel to Carlisle County (Bardwell, KY) to face the Comets in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 18. The Comets enter the contest with a record of 0-1.

The Bombers now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Paducah Tilghman for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 20. Ballard Memorial will face a Blue Tornado squad coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Massac County (Metropolis, IL). The Blue Tornado record now stands at 3-0.
