Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 15-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Burns upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to play the Hilltoppers in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 19. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a record of 5-1. R-S Central won 7-2 in their recent league game against Chase (Forest City, NC)

The Trojans now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host R-S Central for a Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A game on Tuesday, March 18. Chase will play a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 4-1.
