The Montgomery Aztecs softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Orange Glen Patriots to 6 in the Aztecs non-league win on Monday.

The Aztecs now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoover for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 18. Montgomery will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 27-5 non-league loss to San Ysidro (San Diego, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Orange Glen moves to 3-2 on the season. The Patriots host La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA) to confront the Torreys in a Pacific battle on Thursday, March 20. The Torreys come into the battle with a record of 2-3. La Jolla Country Day won 17-4 in their recent league battle against Guajome Park Academy (Vista, CA)
