In Monday's non-league test, the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) softball squad the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a tally of 3-1.

Next, the Fighting Scots clash with the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A test, on Tuesday, March 18. Scotland will attempt to advance on its 6-1 season record. The Patriots go into the test with a 2-5 record after their 8-6 league loss to Lee County (Sanford, NC).

The Cougars (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates go into the Mideastern 3A/4A test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Topsail by North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 8-7, in a league test.
