The Monroe Golden Tornadoes baseball squad (Albany, GA), was overwhelmed 15-0 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA)

With the triumph, Cairo moves its record to 7-9 on the season. The Syrupmakers travel to Monroe (Albany, GA) to confront the Golden Tornadoes in a AAA Region 1 contest on Friday, March 20. The Golden Tornadoes come into the contest with a record of 5-8. Monroe won 17-2 in their recent non-league contest against Mitchell County (Camilla, GA)

The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mitchell County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 18. Monroe will face a Eagles team coming off a 16-6 league loss to Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-12.
