In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Smithville Tigers baseball squad scored a good 9-1 triumph over the Luling Eagles.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) in a 4A Region III District 22 test, on Friday, March 20. Smithville will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Buffaloes go into the test with a 3-7 record after their 17-4 non-league win over Gonzales (Gonzales, TX).
