The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) and the visiting Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), observed Hayesville's softball team get by Cherokee by a tally of 5-4.

The Yellowjackets (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves go into the Smoky Mountain 1A/2A contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Cherokee was edged by Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 4-0, in a league contest.

The Braves now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Swain County for a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A contest on Thursday, March 19. Cherokee will face a Maroon Devils squad coming off a 14-12 league win over Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Maroon Devils record now stands at 4-0.
