Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) and the host New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX), saw Anderson-Shiro's baseball squad knock off New Waverly by a count of 9-5.

Coming up next, the Fighting Owls play the Hardin Hornets (Hardin, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 battle, on Tuesday, March 22. Anderson-Shiro will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Hornets enter the battle with a 2-6 record after their 14-1 league win over Onalaska (Onalaska, TX).

The Bulldogs now possess a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they host Coldspring-Oakhurst for a 3A Region III District 23 battle on Wednesday, March 23.
