In Friday's non-league game, the visiting West Ashley Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 6-2 victory over the Beaufort Eagles.
The Wildcats (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Swamp Foxes go into the AAAAA Region 8 game with a 1-1 record.
The Eagles (3-6) will now prepare for their game against James Island (Charleston, SC). The Trojans go into the AAAA Region 7 game with a 11-1 record. In their last game, James Island tipped Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC), 5-4, in a non-league game.
