The Jones Trojans (Beeville, TX) baseball trounced the host Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX), 12-2 in Friday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 26 contest, on Monday, March 21. Jones will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Buccaneers enter the contest with a 1-9 record after their 8-6 league win over West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX).

The Sandcrabs now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ingleside for a 4A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, March 22. Calhoun will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Sinton (Sinton, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-3.
