The East Surry Cardinals baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Forbush Falcons to 3 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.
The Cardinals (6-0) will now prepare for their match against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds go into the Foothills 2A match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, North Surry was edged by West Stokes (King, NC), 8-1, in a non-league match.
The Falcons (2-5) will now prepare for their match against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks go into the Foothills 2A match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, West Wilkes edged Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 13-8, in a league match.
