Spectators at Friday's league battle between the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) and the visiting Farmville Central Jaguars (Farmville, NC), saw SouthWest Edgecombe's baseball squad edge Farmville Central by a count of 6-5.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Greene Central Rams (Snow Hill, NC) in a Eastern Plains 2A battle, on Tuesday, March 22. SouthWest Edgecombe will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 4-3 record after their 8-2 league loss to North Pitt (Bethel, NC).
