The Winfield Pirates baseball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Lamar County Bulldogs to 2 in the Pirates non-league victory on Friday.
The Pirates (7-11) will now prepare for their match against Sulligent (Sulligent, AL). The Blue Devils go into the non-league match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Sulligent gained a win over Biggersville (Corinth, MS), 7-4, in a non-league match.
The Bulldogs (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Hamilton (Hamilton, AL). The Aggies go into the non-league match with a 10-3 record. In their last match, Hamilton gained a win over Red Bay (Red Bay, AL), 13-1, in a non-league match.
